Vick’s practice focuses on representing individuals, startups, and corporations in a broad range of industries in compliance, securities, government investigations, and white-collar criminal defense matters. His experiences include conducting internal investigations and representing companies in investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission and working with companies to develop and enhance their corporate compliance programs. He also represents clients in matters involving civil litigation and transactional matters, including real estate and general business disputes.
Vick previously worked at a San Francisco-based firm specializing in securities, derivatives, and business litigation. Additionally, he served as a Deputy District Attorney in two large Northern California counties, where he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases, including conducting jury trials.
Before law school, Vick worked at the San Francisco based Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in the firm’s securities litigation practice group, where he developed plaintiff-style statistical damage models used in large-scale securities litigation matters.
Vick earned his law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of San Francisco. He is currently pursuing a Securities Law certificate from Cornell University Law School.
Andrew Mahinay focuses his practice on helping entrepreneurs, real estate investors, and small business owners build and protect what they’ve worked hard to create. His work includes advising clients on real estate transactions, business formation, contract drafting, and general transactional matters across a wide range of industries.
Before co-founding Q&A Law LLP, Andrew worked at both the Goralka Law Firm and Mollaei Law, where he gained deep experience in business and tax law. He later launched his own solo practice, where he specialized in transactional healthcare law and helped early-stage companies navigate regulatory compliance and entity structuring.
Andrew earned his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, with a concentration in Tax Law. He completed his undergraduate studies at Pacific Union College.
A proud member of the Northern California legal community, Andrew serves as a board member of the Asian Bar Association of Sacramento and the Sacramento Filipino American Lawyers Association, and as a liaison to the National Filipino American Lawyers Association (NFALA).
Whether he's drafting a contract or guiding a new business through its formation, Andrew brings practical advice, personal attention, and a strong sense of community to every client interaction.
